Hard to believe Christmas Day will be all over this time next week! So to get you into the festive count down, there’s a real winter treat in store today, in the shape of a bridal inspiration shoot, captured on location in Lapland, by Agata Stoinska Photography! No sign of the man of the moment himself…but there’s plenty of glimpses of his reindeers and seriously stunning inspiration for winter brides, thanks to the beautiful styling of Tanya Grimson!
Winter brides (or let’s face it, brides at most times of the year in Ireland!) are looking for chic ways to stay warm in their wedding gown. Fur coats are having a fashion moment right now and although an alternative choice, looking at the image above, they can be fabulous layered with a wedding dress.
Stick with white for snowy glamour, or really push the boat out and opt for a contrasting colour to offset your look. I particular love the fur bolero with pewter and navy tones above, such a striking style for a bohemian bride!
If you’re a destination bride and know you’re guaranteed your own winter wonderland why not accessorise Dr. Zhivago style with a fur hat? I’m not a hat person unfortunately, they never seem to look right on me for some reason but I’m sure there are some stylish winter brides out there who could rock this look!
In the spirit of the season adding a hint of red to your outfit could be just the festive lift you need, or would be lovely for a wedding guest. Though decking out in the full traditional costume of lapland may be taking it a bit too far…what you can take from the image above is some transportation inspiration! How amazing would it be to arrive to your wedding on a sled pulled by huskies?! What an entrance!
